So it’s been a while since my last update. I’ll do my best to recall what’s been going on.

We played another show with Jason Boland and the Stragglers a few weeks back at the Red Dirt Cafe. As usual, there was a sellout crowd and they were all there to have a good time despite it being a tuesday night.

That Friday, we were back at Classics. Unfortunately, I didn’t know very many people there, but there was still a good crowd in attendance. We were treated to some fine dancing by one enthusiastic patron. At one point, he grabbed a stool and raised it behind his head; I just knew he was fixing to smash it on the floor, but he instead gently lowered it down and used it as a dance prop. I guess he decided it wasn’t a good idea. I would have gladly payed for the stool just to see him drunkenly smash it at the end of our song.

Saturday, we went to Tulsa and met up with Andy (our former drummer) and Carter Lea, a friend of mine whom I haven’t seen in some seven years. We played at Fishbonz that night which happens to be under new ownership. Unfortunately I was never able to meet the owners; perhaps next month. After loading out Fitch and I were on our way to the motel and had to help push a car out of the way. The two intoxicated fellas had ran out of gas. We had no room for passengers, but the car behind us took them down to a gas station.

This week we played at Ada which is always a big event. Will and I stopped at KYKC and did an interview with David Wayne. It was less of an interview and consisted more of just Will, David, and I having a good time shooting the breeze and giving each other a hard time. After finishing there, we unloaded our equipment at the club and then stopped by Hastings. We dropped off 10 CDs there, so you can now purchase our CD at the Hastings store in Ada.

We woke up the next morning at our friends Mark and Tammy Prentice’s home. We watched the Sooners play and then went out to Fossil Creek Ranch to set-up. It was a beautiful place that will be available to rent for events. It has a western decorative scheme. Theres a great kitchen, bar, pool table, stage, and fireplace, and four great rooms. There was a good mix of people in attendance and we all had a great time. Several people got up and sang between sets. Our thanks to Ron and Jayna for having us out to their annual event. We can’t wait until next year.

So that’s it for the most part. Until next time…

Thanks for Lisnen,

Dameon
